With Dana O’Driscoll.  This class takes place at the Hawthorn Botanical Gathering on Saturday, June 28th from 2-3pm.
Medicinal mushrooms are an incredible and often overlooked aspect of herbalism.  In Fungi Fundamentals, we will discuss the incredible healing power of four common mushroom species found throughout Pennsylvania (Reishi, Turkey Tail, Birch Polypore, and Lion’s Mane). The class will cover mushroom foraging 101, including identification and safety and how to get started in finding these mushrooms in the wild.  We will conclude class by demonstrating the double-extracted mushroom tincture, the best option for extracting medicinal mushrooms.
