Free Community Walk: Edible and Medicinal Plant Walk @ Blue Spruce Park (Indiana County)

Join Dana from the Pennsylvania School of Herbalism for an interactive walk focusing on 15-20 edible and medicinal plants that are in-season during the summer months.  This event is co-sponsored by the Indiana County Friends of the Parks.  To celebrate Indiana County 1776 and the America 250 programming, Dana will place a special emphasis on the historical uses of local plants, including special recipes and uses.  We will also place a special emphasis on harvesting invasive plants and on foraging ethics, practices, safety, and identification.  Please have appropriate footwear for light hiking and bring bug spray.  The walk will be cancelled in an event of an active thunderstorm.

This event is a free event open to the community; no pre-registration is required.
