Free Community Event – Spring Mushroom walk with Tree ID (Indiana County)

Join Dana from the Pennsylvania School of Herbalism along with Diana (Oak Haven Farms), and Richard Jacob (Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club Identifier) for an interactive 3-hour morel hunting and tree ID class.  This free community event is sponsored by the Indiana County Friends of the Parks.  Our interactive walk will focus on finding and identifying mushrooms that grow in early spring.  We will also focus on tree identification, which is key for mushroom hunting.  Participants should wear sturdy footwear.

Location: Pine Ridge Park, Pavilion #1 – 998 Pine Ridge Road, Blairsville, PA.

Date: Saturday, April 11th, 10am – 1pm.  No preregistration is required.

Attending this walk earns 1 hour of Stewardship and Identification through our 50 or 100 hour certificate program.
